The color of polyaluminum chloride is generally white ,yellow or  Sepia ,and different colors of polyaluminum chloride is also quite different in application and production technology.

 The polyaluminum chloride with alumina content between 27% and 30% within the national standard is mostly khaki, yellow, light yellow solid powder. These types of polyaluminum chloride are relatively water-soluble. In the process of dissolution, accompanied by physical and chemical changes such as electrochemical, coagulation, adsorption and precipitation, flocs form fast and coarse, high activity, fast precipitation, and high turbidity water.

The purification effect is obvious. White polyaluminum chloride is called high-purity iron-free white polyaluminum chloride or food-grade white polyaluminum chloride, which is the highest quality product compared with other polyaluminum chlorides.

White polyaluminum chloride is used in papermaking sizing agent, sugar decolorizing , clarifying agent, tanning leather, medicine, cosmetics, precision casting and water treatment or other fields. The raw materials of yellow polyaluminum chloride are calcium aluminate powder, hydrochloric acid and bauxite, which are mainly used in sewage treatment and drinking water treatment.

Tan polyaluminum chloride is generally mainly used in sewage treatment. Because iron powder is added in it, the color is tan. The more iron powder is added, the darker the color will. If the iron powder exceeds a certain amount, it is sometimes called polyaluminum ferric chloride, it has excellent effect in sewage treatment.
